FAQ

How does it work?

I usually schedule sessions Wednesday thru Sunday.  I prefer to work in the early morning light or early evening light before sunset if I get to pick. This produces the best light for natural photos. Children, family, maternity, and engagement sessions normally last between one and a half to two hours. Newborns are a different story and can last up to three hours, we are on their schedule!

Where should we go?

This varies by client. I love to get to know each one of you and personalize a session based on likes and personality. If you love the outdoors, let’s find a scenic area such as a park or family piece of land. If you are love the urban vibe, let’s go somewhere like downtown Little Rock to get the city feel! Doing a session at your own home is always an option. It’s also where most newborn sessions are done. If you have access to any interesting locations, let me know and I can check it out!

What should I wear?

For family sessions, my first piece of advice is to never be matchy matchy. Let’s break the mold of all black and all white clothing. You might want to choose one complete outfit for one family member, then build on that. Choose three or so complimentary colors, and go from there. Layers and textures always work well.  You might steer clear of big logos, message tees or cartoon characters, as they tend to be distracting.  Go with some comfortable clothing that fits your personality.

How can I print my photos?

After each session is done, you will receive a cd of all edited images. This also includes a print release so that you may print images at your local photo lab. If you are interested in professional printing services, let’s talk! I can order prints of all sizes, greeting cards, canvases and albums of all kinds.

How long until I can see my photos?

My personal goal is to have all photos edited and sent to you within three weeks. I know the anticipation of wanting to see photos of your family and loved ones. I am not exactly what my husband would describe as patient, so I don’t expect you to be either. I don’t want you to wait months to see your great photographs!

What should I expect with a newborn session?

Newborn sessions are one of a kind. I have a “what to expect” page just for you new mothers. Please let me know and I will be sure to email you a copy.
